Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2026

These terms govern your use of AI Resume Build. By using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

This is a general template, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified professional and add your company details before publishing.

1. The service

AI Resume Build lets you build, preview, tailor, and export resumes, with optional AI assistance. You can build and preview for free. Downloading requires a free student account (email verification). Some features require a paid tier.

2. Your account

3. Free, paid tiers, and payment

4. Refunds

Because paid tiers unlock digital features immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise at checkout. If something went wrong with your purchase, contact us and we'll try to help.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the information you put into your resume. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display it solely to provide the service to you (for example, to save your resume, generate exports, or — only if you choose — publish it to the candidate directory). You are responsible for making sure your content is accurate and that you have the right to use it.

6. AI-generated suggestions

The AI features produce suggestions to help you write. They can be wrong or generic. Review everything before you use it. You are responsible for the final content of your resume, including its accuracy.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8. Candidate directory

Listing in the public directory is optional. If you enable it, you allow us to display your resume publicly (with email and phone hidden). You can remove your listing at any time.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the service running but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features.

10. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for outcomes of your job applications. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of business, and disputes are subject to the courts there, unless mandatory local law in your region says otherwise.
